The EU co-financed project on “Freedom of Association,” implemented by FNF together with its Arab partners in 5 Arab Mashreq countries, launches the project’s outputs beyond the direct targets and reaching the Maghreb.
The Friedrich Naumann Foundation, together with its partner in Algeria, Centre d’Information et de Documentation sur les Droits de l’Enfant et de la Femme (CIDDEF), held a seminar gathering more than 70 civil society organizations, activists and Algerian intellectuals. The seminar was meant to launch the three codes of conduct for NGOs, political parties and workers’ unions produced by the Freedom of Association project and its partners in the Mashreq. The event was held at Diocese House in Haydara on the 25th of June to promote the three codes beyond the direct countries involved in the project (Syria, Jordan, Palestine, Lebanon and Egypt) and to examine the extent to which these codes are useful in the Maghreb context.
